322 nailhead overhaul..= )

so im going to be rebuilding my 322 nailhead. this will also be my first engine overhaul so bit iffy bout it but no biggy. all i have to look into is my 53 buick shop manual. my bud who happends to be a diesel mech will be helping out as well. any pointers or tech from you nailhead gurus out there. im going to be using a deluxe engine rebuild kit from egge auto parts.

Street Rodder Magazine did a multi-issue rebuild on nailheads several years ago. Was very comprehensive. Covered things like the little snap ring that holds the cam in place, and if you don't know it's there, you will never get th cam out- Well worth your time to find those articles.
