Not a 'how do I build..' question, just some brainstorming. Currently stock 324 in 56 olds. not exciting. Always thought the front grill of the olds would naturally lend itself to a pair of intercoolers for a pair or hair dryers. Susp & braking systems will all be upgraded. lets focus on the engine itself. to answer the 'why?' - b/c I want to. simple. turbos are a great way to salvage wasted power (heat) What is/ are the limitations of the 324 regarding power levels? Boost levels? Achilles heal of a 324? Will be mainly a fun cruiser type car with spirited driving of course. Seen many w/ blowers but not many is any w/ turbos. Anyone ever make aftermarket heads for these motors? Cam will be roller of some form ( not sure how I can replicate the factory lifter tick) and fuel delivery will most likely injected.
we play around with 25 lbs in the manifold.......Correct question should be "Is there anything Ross Racing Engines doesnt have for your early Olds 49-64" Tony
Is that with a filled blocked or stock block w/ full water jackets? What power numbers are you seeing with streetable boosted 324 based builds? Nice broad torque band? Really want to see specs on those heads. Me likey!!!
