Ok, i have said in the past to the young guys that i have probably forgot more than you know. Not being a smart aleck in any way. For instance, did 461 heads have the 2.02 intake valves. I always thought the 462 had 2.02 and 461 were 1.94. So, set me straight please. See, proves i have forgot.

461 and 462 "camel hump" heads both came with 1.94 and 2.02 intake valves. It depended on what horsepower 327 they came on from the factory. The 461X heads that I have ever seen only came with 1.94 valves.
Of coarse, a lot of 1.94 heads have had the 2.02 valves installed on rebuilds.

Yes Mike, I have seen them and actually held them in my hands. My Dad has a 1962 327/300hp engine in his 57 chevy. I rebuilt the engine for him in 1994... It has 461X heads on it. Had the machine shop put 2.02/1.60 valves installed then since it needed a valve job anyway.
I did a rebuild on a 327 in a buddy's 61 vette, (Not original engine of coarse) but it had 62 461X's on that engine as well.
