    I came across this 327 this week and brought it home with me. I'm thinking that it's from a 1962 ? 300 H.P. ? Likely an Impala ? IMG_20220716_120902434.jpg IMG_20220716_120559854.jpg IMG_20220716_120349220.jpg IMG_20220716_120221930.jpg

Yes '62, full size, block stamping says manufactured at Flint 15th October. 300hp, most sites suggest manual trans going by the RB code.
What heads are on it ?

It has 461 cylinder heads. The carburetor is missing though.

If it is a 62 it would have had these valve covers originally, a one year only stamping.

Had a buddy with one, ran pretty good. Wasn't any match for my 327 .030 over 0 deck flat top two valve relief pistons with the 461 heads and a proper cam.

I think what DDenny means is that there are actually two "crease" valve covers, note the small trinagle bits to the sides of the sticker.

    Early (until '63?)

Just watched an Engine Masters vid last night where they hopped up at 327. It was crazy - 552 hp @ 7,800 rpm.
