Last one on this side... Hopefully the block checks out... the last piston on this bank was giving me fits. But I got it to go in the end. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.

I will be relieving this if it checks out to lower the compression. Probably will port and polish too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They are, in deed, 2 door sedan doors. Lots of folks convert them to 3 window coupe doors. He will need to fabricate a replacement top, rear corner of the door. Since the plans call for a heavy chop, the original 3 window coupe top door hinge will be eliminated. as for fabrication of the new door top corner, guys have used the front, rounded door tops from another door - or fabbed the door top from scratch. Lazze has a YouTube video showing how he uses a bead roller to make these new door tops.
This went a lot easier… I wish I had presoaked the other one in the primordial goo like this one… the crank turned very easily!! Unfortunately the lifter assembly will need cut out as it won’t budge… Now my next block will be even easier, yippee!
Pretty cool vise grips, never seen that type before. Have you got the correct flathead valve tools? makes life simpler
I have an old Electrolux valve tool that looks like a pry bar. It works really well for stuck valves.
