well, um....yeah, the tudor in my avatar came with fenders, they may or may not stay. its not the current project, just waiting in line. this one here is the current project, note no fenders. coupes just look right without them i believe. IMG_0656.JPG

  8. Personally, I think Model A's and Model 40's look best with fenders. But if it's a fenderless 33/34, then it needs a hood!

Just wanted to post an update on the 33 coupe that appeared in the first post of this thread - the red race car #69. This is a current pic, the build is basically finished. Taken a long time because I bought too many other projects along the way. IMG_3006.jpg

This body came with flawless garnish moldings, a hood, frame, fenders and a lot of the small parts. It's not as perfect as it looks in the picture but a lot better than the last one I had. It was a local car that had spent most of it's life in eastern Wash. It will be getting a 6" B-Ville chop ( can't help myself ). The guy has a 33 3W as well.

I did a little Googling and found Steffes auction house archived sales, looks like it sold for $17,500 There also was a couple of '32 Fords in that auction and a pretty decent, somewhat complete looking '34 Tudor sedan (that one brought $7K, not bad at all).

Here's a link, might have to copy and paste if it doesn't hyperlink itself

Wow, I just took the time to look through all of the closed lots in that auction. Holy shit was there some crazy good deals in there! I'm already massively overstocked with resale stuff but if I would have known what some of the stuff was going to go for there, I would have made a long road trip out of state for that one. Damn.

  25. Yes, but that's the unfortunate part about auctions, you make the long drive, and there's somebody there with an unlimited budget. Ahhh, but only if....

Putting together a 34 Ford coupe five window body all from parts - using repro quarters. Bolted to the frame which acts as a jig. Lots of work but for me it is a good way to spend my spare time. IMG_3084.jpg

  27. Yes sir, that's a really good way to use your spare time. Very productive!

]Nice! Where did you buy Quarters?[/QUOTE]

Bought the quarters off a friend who got them from Steve's Autorestoration in Portland. Rest of the parts are all original and it has taken a number of years to accumulate them. Still need the quarter window and rear window moldings. Experience has taught me that everything shows up eventually, just need patience and a good network of 34 Ford enthusiasts.
