Features 33-34 Ford coupe bodies

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by ss34coupe, Nov 5, 2007.

  1. I hate opening this thread.

It reminds me of how damn much I want a 33-34 five window.

This is today...she is about 95% done. Still have to wire it, glass and some final assembly and she will around the block.

Heres a 5 window I'm doing for J.Wike on here. It looks rough, but is really straight and was a old N.C. hot rod. I'm getting door skins this week and the doors will be done. They got all the Bradley floor pieces. Needs the usual stuff. Hopefully we can chop it once it all gets straightened out. The Wikes really like the early Fords.

Aussie - if you can't find a complete body, consider building one out of parts or making a coupe from a four door sedan. Sure, a lot of work, but it is being done more and more as original coupe bodies become harder to find. Check out some of the threads here on the topic, especially the build by Hamber
Thunderbirdesq. That build of a four door into a coupe was nothing short of phenomenal!

Here's what my recent barn find coupe looks like with the primer off. I like the patina look it now has!

Rustymetal - if you want to sell that coupe, put it in the for sale section. There are lots of guys here looking for something like that.

  24. Man, what a score!

I know this was posted a little earlier, but now it's "done" and for sale. Jeffrey (Flamedabone) took me for a little ride in it Sat. and someone's gonna score a bitchin, sweet and fast hot rod.

Flamedabone did a fantastic job on this build. If you want to see what he started with, go to post #122 of this thread. Amazing talent!

If you go to the first post of this thread you will see what I started out with to build this chopped coupe. Its the black one in the photos in the first post. Those photos are now 21 years old, this car was built by 1995.

Hey Scott, come on over anytime! We gotta see some pics of your three window here, so how about posting some! Hope the project is going well, you have a nice one there.

  29. Update from 2008...been working on my 34 body all this time but only about 3-6 hours a week. Was only able to keep the top and sorced the rest of the parts from buddys, swap meets and Steve's auto restorations.
Only have a little welding to do at the top's back, install door bottoms on the driver's door and roll a new decklid skin before bring it home from the body shop. Chopped it 3.5" front and back, 4 door sedan doors, sedan cowl, 2 door sedan door tops, shortened Roadster quarters, 33 front clip, 34 chevy hood sides and dash etc etc.
Changed plans from flathead engine to 370 Pontiac V/8-5 speed and winters Q/C.
