I have found what I think is a 33/34 fordor...it has a buggy spring crossmember and round lever shocks so its a Ford for sure. (hmmmm...right? ) Its upside down in thick woods, has open style front fenders WITH the turned down rear sections like a later 33 or a 34...BUT the dash I pulled from the wasted remains doesn't look like any other 34 I've ever seen! I have NO pictures to show!!! The dash is flat across the bottom, has a center vertical spine with a single 2"ish gauge hole in it, a rectangular glove box hole and several round gauge holes on the left...number and configuration escape me unfortunately. The ignition switch is dash mounted...high up and just to the left of the center spine. Is that like a 34 Ford? Maybe I'm confusing a 34 with something else! I didn't take the dash home due to the rust on it BTW, but will be going back there this weekend if the rains hold off. Hoping this wreck will contain a few hard to get small items so its getting pulled apart completely. Rusted far beyond saving. Thanks guys! Bill
doesnt sound right Bill- Ford switches are in the column at the drop.....glove box lid is shape different too.
Yeah?!?! THATS what I thought Choprods! Isn't that weird? Can't imagine someone swapping dashes back then. This things been sitting for...50 years easy! Any other manufacturers use round lever shocks and buggy springs I wonder? I don't think they did! Naaa...gotta be a 33/34 by the fender design and the spring! Any idea what that dash MIGHT be from? Could have been just tossed into the Ford before it was abandoned I guess. Wasn't actually attached, it was just inside the flipped and collapsed body. Weird...gotta get back out there. Thanks! Bill
