Can the Chevy gurus on here tell me the physical difference in the frames of a standard versus the master body styles? In particular the firewall forward section pertaining to suspension dimensions. Thanks for any help provided, on this one I have no clue.
someone may have to double confirm, but I believe that Standards didn't have the IFS. Masters have the IFS, Knee action front suspension. some info http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1933-35-chevy-coupe.586341/ http://vcca.org/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/187034/33_Chevy_front_suspension The frame may be close but mounts for the suspensions would be different, also the longer wheelbase model would be longer towards the front from the cowl forward. I know more about the '34's not '33s but the 34 seems to be a bit more of a carry forward with body changes.
I don't think knee action front ends were introduced until 1934. Here's a 33 Master frame 1933 Standard frame
34 master 1st year knee action front suspension (Pontiac also had it) 109 /112 in wheelbase? a heavy duty x-center crossmember
