Gary, i consider the body work done the crest of the hill.:)
I am battling a heavy spring work load, and working the car into the schedule.

glued the rubber mats to the backer plates i had made. i scuffed the new paint and mats with scotch brite and cleaned the surfaces with prepsol. i then used 3m contact spray for rubber. once glued i test fitted them again. DSCF3931.JPG DSCF3930.JPG DSCF3932.JPG

That looks great, I have to do my matts on my 32. How much time did you have to work with them before the glue sets and your screwed?

the can said to spray each piece and then wait 4 minutes before joining them. i started at one corner and slowly lowered it along the back edge so only a small piece was touching. i did have to pull the edge off to get it straight and it really was stuck. so to answer your question 0 time and it would be easier with two people.
when i use contact cement for formica, i put "sticks" in between then slowly pull them out. it would work for this too. although an extra set of hands would be a help.

I'm either going to have to get off my fat ass and do something or stop watching this thread.

The oil puddle isn't so bad ..It's those nuts and bolts that can ruin the tires on the Chevy:)

    thanks for looking for me.
so far ,i found a couple spots that need a little more filler [tiny]. dry blocking with a long board with 180 grit finds little imperfections in the panels. i use a black epoxy under the filler primer so i know when i am getting close to sanding through. so the spots showing would have been a "wave".
