  4. Dad looks like he approves! Great he gets to take it for a spin after all this time. Always brings a smile to my Dad when I bring him for a ride in mine.

I love the sound of a high revving small block :D

  5. he worked hard helping to getting it to this point.
of course it was a ghost town around there when the sanding started:D:cool:

  6. me too! it has a buzzing/wizzing sound at high rpms and i am not sure if it is the air rushing through the air cleaner screen or the generator.

  10. worked on a few little details tonight. made a door for the "glove box" in the package tray. took a piece of 3/8 plywood and drilled and filed a hole for a lock cylinder, i did not need to have this lock but it is a nice clean "knob" that when the key is removed will allow for a flat tray. i used some art deco cabinet hinges i saved. the door and the package tray will be covered in the same vinyl as the seats.

  11. i also put some latches to hold the battery cover down. i wanted the cover to be able to be removed so one side uses the old style storm window hooks and brackets. the lid hooks get inserted into the latches at an angle, then the lid is closed. on the "loose" side i put a lock clasp and will use a spring clip to keep it closed.
i also wanted to be able to secure my toolbox to the top of the battery box. this gives me the most room left for storage........ i will use some belting through the loops to hold it in place. DSCF4290.JPG DSCF4292.JPG DSCF4293.JPG

That's one classy toolbox, for an nice ride.

    What's the story behind that?

  13. found it at a "garage" cleanup we did. i cleaned it up and used a flat clear varnish to protect the patina. i also varnished it to keep the surface rust from transferring to the upholstery, carpet or my clothes.
the u s was added but i liked it and left it on, it fits the look with the "wing" embossing.

This photo spot is becoming HAMB haloed ground, I don't know when I can get my car or truck there but it's on the list. You should charge admission.

  16. Ford trespassing ... up to no good. Probably gonna' have a dead spot from leaking fluids. Make sure he didn't leave any nails in the grass, either. ;)

So, you are pointing at Superman? The car looks better every time I see it.

  27. that's Brian, the owner/craftsman at the upholstery shop. i think he was either pointing to a spot on the roof where he had room to park it or explaining the height of the bill when it is done.:D
