Projects 33 chevy 3w....time for a cool change

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by tb33anda3rd, Feb 11, 2014.

  1. good thought, that would look good, but these light would not sit well in that spot unless i built a stand. i don't mind the sides being different. and was thinking of making a bracket off the bumper brace bolt so it could easily be added and removed.
it would be nice to have a backup light but it is not totally needed.

  2. christmas day, weather in the high 60's, no salt on the roads yet.
once the family left, i took the car for a good long ride. DSCF4741.JPG

There are no longer any excuses for not putting this fine piece of machinery on the street. You have the cash, the time, and a place to do it. It is GM's answer to Ford's Model 40. So, GO, Bud. GO.

Covet those times with your Dad, Bud. Most all of us wish we could have wrenched on an old car with our Dads. My Dad finally "retired" from rod building one freaking year before I bought my first ride-to-be, a '35 Chevy Standard coach.

Bud, don't feel one bit out of place. Repeating myself, your car is just as cool-looking as the Ford counterparts and is unique among rods. A cabinet-maker can duplicate any wood that may be bad even if all of it is gone. Might be as cheap as a wood kit. Good luck.

Do you advise installing roll-pins in the rocker arm towers ?

Hey, ct1932ford, is that you at the end of the lower deck panel? It must be the camera that makes you look so fat. Uh, sorry.

Imagine the stunned look on fender thumpers when they realize your ride is STEEL. They will stagger off mumbling something like, "Shit, I just knew that coupe was plastic."

  23. Gary glad your catching up!
Dave the engine builder suggested that it wouldn't be a bad idea, or to go to screw in type.

  24. No that is Ted's Dad! So the only thing that looks fat is your mouth! Uh, sorry.
