@swade41 has this project come together since this was posted? Sometimes the big sky gets us before the dream comes alive...
I gotta give you credit Stogy, if anyone is gonna drag up a thread from the past you always seem to pic good ones !
Thanks lilCowboy, I missed it first time around..., It's funny, I mean the archives are full of great stuff...I don't ever think they're closed...Many of the membership here do great Threads too and heck the pics are still intact on many...I was looking for Swade's Henry J and found this Thread...Nice Coupe for sure...
He's plugging away on it as a secondary focus, he redid a few things on the 56 as his main focus. Body mocked up, next to new ch***is Then onto ch***is He has a rather unusual build style
Thanks for the update...is that wooden jig for flipping it over? Is that some vintage style flames being suggested on the side hood panels...jeeze that's a solid coupe...
I was wondering the same thing, what in thee hell is he doing ??? Look at that cherry floor He then flips the frame over onto the body and starts building all the crossmembers and suspension And the frame is pretty much finished
Not sure what's on the hood sides, racing season is over and I seen he actually had the 56 for sale, I'm sure he'll jump back on the coupe over the winter.
It's looking pretty good...I like where he's going with it...Is he a Hamber? I like the name on the 56 if it's what I'm thinking it is...
That's a nice looking G***er...Yeah I can't wait to see what he does with the Coupe...Past Gas can mean Old Racecar but it also reads as P***ed Gas...Just one of those catchy sets of words...mind you it has explosive methane by the looks of things...Love those Tri-Fives...that was a great update @swade41... Cherry floors, cherry everything.
Big block chevy for motor-vation, he's a painter by trade but I'm pretty sure he's leaving this one in it's original paint.
It's always neat to see where people go with these ole Capsules...Being a painter he can bring back that existing finish back in a stunning way. Hamber Chris is good at that as are a number of others...
It would be hard to resist putting the buffer on that body, maybe even be a bit crazy & buff the floor as well as good as it appears.
I was trying to figure out the name of the car from the partial photos of it. I was guessing "past cash" Thinking a good name for a Hot Rod .... past gas works also.
Yes you can always give it a shot but once it's gone its gone forever...Chris calls it soul...I agree, his 40 Coupe is a prime example of that...
