Hi guys. I'm building a 33 Dodge pickup for a customer. Definately a fun project. Thought I would post it here and share build pictures with you guys. We've put a 392 Hemi in it with a 727 Torqueflight tranny. Upgraded the rear to a 4 link. The cool thing is the customer doesn't want fenders or running boards on it. He even decided to eliminate the hood sides. Definately gonna look cool.

Moparkevin will like this. My customer is having the 392 rebuilt and he is putting aluminum heads put on. That will look very cool.

Final fit the doors today and marked out where the seatbelts go. Even got the sunroof fit. Going to be nice.

looks like a nice straight cab. Fenderless or not it will be cool. I saw you cut the bottom of the shell off. What a shame I hope it wasn't a plateable one.

No, the shell was run over. I suppose a master metal man could've straightened it out good enough for the chromers to do it.

  10. That will be gorgeous, right choice on driveline too.

  11. Great drivetrain choice, but no fenders, or running boards.....and a sunroof, You lost me.

I just get paid to do what I'm told. The sunroof...actually I like it. I did a 33 Plymouth coupe for a guy once and he had me put a sunroof in. It was tricky to get it to fit the crown of the roof but I thought it looked nice. It's a newer style sunroof, not like one from the 70's.

Hey 40FORD. I like your Buick wagon. I'm doing a 65 Belair wagon for my personal car. Just never have time to work on it.

Cool project! Don't see many of those around. One question. Were the doors stock suicide or did you do that? Only reason I ask is my wife owns a '33 Plymouth 5 window coupe and the doors are suicide from the factory. I know most of the Mopar cars had them in the early 30's but I guess I have never paid attention to the pickups. Keep us posted on the project, looks fun! Flatheaded

Too bad about the fenders, those trucks are awesome when you keep them and slam the whole thing on the ground. The drivetrain sounds awesome. Keep the pictures coming.

I believe all dodge 33's had suicide doors. I have a 5 window coupe also.

I love a '33 Dodge...pickup or otherwise. I like 'em enough, that about 10 yrs. ago, I found a rough pickup body, grille and bed on a chassis, (no fenders or r. boards) for $1,000. Paid $500 to hold it, went back 5 days later to pay the rest, and it was gone. The f#cker had found someone to pay $1,500. I wasn't happy. At least got my money back. Isn't the only time I've been scrrrrooooood by f#ckers like that. F#cker. Excuse my bitchin'.

Hey Moporron426. Sorry it took me so long to post, I've just been to busy in the shop.
Thanks for the compliments. The sunroof is an aftermarket piece. Got it from a company called Inalfa sunroofs. If you google them you will find them. Looked at some of your pictures. Very nice work. I loved the wagons and the COE, the vans cool to. I like your style of work. Maybe I could pick your brain sometime and we could talk about metal fab and styling ideas? Here are some pictures of the frontend. Are these the shots and angles you were looking for? If not, let me know. Gotta run, more next time.

Hey Flatheaded. Sorry it took so long for me to post. Been too busy in the shop. The doors are stock suicide. I like your Ford sedan. I've always wanted to do one of those. Where in ND are you from. I'm south of Minot about 24 miles.

I wish he would've let me slam it. It would look nice hugging the ground. The suspension would be all tucked up out of eye sight. Maybe next time.
