    Please don't use steel wool on chrome! It actually scratches it. Tiny little scratches, which give more places for rust to start. I understand using it on rusty chrome wheels and ****py bumpers but not on nice shiny new chrome!

    IMG_6132.jpeg IMG_5514.jpeg Actually, the grill is old and rusty and pitted. I just made it look good with wire wheel cleaner
    000 wool McGuire‘s wire wheel cleaner it’s like naval jelly kind of

    it’s hard to see here, but it was dirty, and pitted,
    And welded where it cracked in half.
    I sanded, polished, and buffed the raw metal to look like chrome there, and cleaned, acid treated, the small rusticals, and , and scrubbed the fins, to make it look like now.
    I wouldn’t use wool on new chrome.
