Oh…! That’s what all the reflection shine comments Were about! Here I’m thinking it was referring to ugly women or something at two in the morning!!! Yeah, I need to pay more attention when I’m changing to go back in the house. I’ve been known to have the garage door open a few times too also just kind of clueless. Oops! TMI!!! You know you’re a redneck when…. You take pictures of your Hot Rod in your underwear!!! Purple face!
That whole exchange was just toooooo funny! I have no worries here in AL, on the end of a dead end street with woods surrounding three sides......
On the way to cars&coffee at my Church! It was crazy! First Saturday of the month! Must’ve been a 1000 cars!
That Plastic Duece next to me probably has a $10,000 paint Job, and yeah, looks great, But mine, cost like maybe $250 with all the sand paper, Filler, and paint. Just Saying. You might be a redneck….when…
Such a nice spring day today, had to drive the Doll to work! Drove her twice this week! Love my natural AC on spring days. Not so much late summer!
I know that’s why I asked you if you got your radiator yet cause I was feeling guilty driving in a nice warm weather! Well of course drive yours way more I drive mine.
Welp: I milked my battery for as long as I could! It finally couldn’t take anymore of that Darn 1 wire alternator up and down, spiking. And the extra circuits I have -HVAC heater circuit for my Arvin -Fuel pump Relay circuit -Headlight circuit (Halogens) -And the big one Electric fan circuit So with the low RPM Flathead The 1 wire wont kick on unless you are driving. I did a bunch of research forums, and what not and also ChatGPT of different scenarios came up with this plan should take care of this issue. -Bought a three wire regulator (glad I left the exciter wire in my harness) -A pigtail with one way diode -for the Possible backfeeding -and A dual purpose, 800 cold-cranking amp, deep cycle, lithium battery! (Not cheap) So that doesn’t take care of it I don’t know what else to do should stabilize the voltage of any RPM, and I’m thinking it’ll protect my Mallory uni-lite better, but I also have all those other filters on there to protect it from every which way! lol! -ballast resistor -Mallory voltage spike protector I think I’m covered now!!!! Lol! Keep you posted!!!
Yeah, I really haven’t liked the stress the 1 wire alternator has put on the system since the beginning. But that is what my Pops bought. Plus it is chrome, and expensive. the regulator is Hella cheap. 11$ bucks. we will see if it calms everything down? little concerned about the jumper wire from BAT post to Term. 2. I know it is super common. It would be better hooking it through the system, hopefully I can find that wire. #58 red I don’t remember where I hid it. At least the white exciter #44 wire is taped off right at the alternator
AH-HA!!!’ Found # 58.so ai can hook up directly to T-2 On the GM 10SI I wish I would’ve wired it in like the T-1 exciter wire for terminal one. I guess I didn’t need it cause I used the byp*** wire Directly to Battery post, since I was using a 1 wire but at least now I could just run it along the existing wire loom. Some people say it’s no big deal to do a jumper from the BAT post to the number 2 , but I’d rather have it all hooked up correctly. Stabilize the voltage as best as possible. Specially, since I’ve been doing all this work and spending all this money on all this electrical **** for the last year!!!
Oh Damn! I thought I deleted those!!! On the internet forever! Oh well! I’ve had worse things go around town in my younger days!
Got my 3 Wires in place. Yanked the back of the alternator off, just need to swap regulators From 1 to 3 when it comes, and the diode and the battery. I forgot to put a paper clip through the brushes first! WHHOOPS! All good, no damage! Remember that step first!!! Been awhile!!!
