hey, I was scrolling through my Hot Rod things on Facebook and I found this cool Vendor that makes 60 style scoops. I thought I’d share it here for two barrel carbs.

The Arias guy sold his company, he was on here also, bummer, he has the coolest Sling-shot dragster scoops and Cal custom boat type scoops from the 60s. I’m glad I got mine.

Well, as you guys probably know, my dad’s been slowly getting older and slower and kinda lost his purpose. He sold all his cars so I went up to visit him, because he’s acting really strange lately. We had a great visit and he started giving me a bunch of things, which I figured he would, but it started growing more and more. He says I’m not gonna use this anymore. I’m not gonna use this anymore. I’m like are you sure he’s like? Yep, I’m done.
So that’s the end of the Wagstaff Hot Rod legacy other than me.
It’s bittersweet cause I knew it was gonna come to this at some point, but it’s all I’ve known my whole life with him, especially when I started seeing some of the tools and things that I remember when I was small, so at least I got them. I don’t know if I’ll use everything but so I have to sort all this stuff.

 

So… while I am saving some money for an AHH-OOHAH!!! Horn, or the Road Runner Horn I mentioned awhile back. I managed to salvage one outta 3 Stock 33-34 horns!
After I destroyed one, and the other one has a burnt coil the third one works like a charm,
After taking it apart, and kind of cleaning it up,
sanding the points getting it to work,
and then fine-tune adjusting the pitch, which is real finicky, put a little more tension on it to run the 12 V seems like it like less tension for 6 V but I think I got it to work pretty Good.
and it kind of has a slight roadrunner sound, so it ought to do for now Boy! is it freaking loud!
So…
I have two videos, one with a rag stuff in it, but I was too close For uncorked, So I moved to the other side of the truck doesn’t sound anything like it does in real life on the phone, But hood enough. I think I’m gonna to mount it on the frame underneath the fender, or behind the crank hole and hide it, we’ll see. I just know I’m not putting in the stock location. besides it has chopped headlight stands.

 

I bought a aftermarket ooogah horn for now,
The real ones are way too expensive and you have to rebuild them. There was some companies making reproduction ones that were like three or 400 bucks so this was like 32 bucks so it sounds like it but it’s the best of the fake ones.!!! Lol!!!!

 

Just some random Pictures that I thought looked cool, since I haven’t done much to the Doll lately. I am gonna take the intake and all the other **** off this winter to see if I can find and adjust the ticking lifter on the Drivers side. And narrow the gaps on all of them while I am in there!

 

Looks great with the hood on also!

4 doors were back then your parents car!
Now they are collectors also, but not 4 me!

 

Very nice to see her with the hood back on.....although either style looks *****in'.

 

I'd try a few ounces of Seafoam crankcase additive to see if that quiets the lifter. Others have had success with this treatment.
