I went to a the Jalopy Jam in Dalton, Ga yesterday expecting a big swap meet/car show and was disappointed until I saw this 32 Delivery. It has Grand Union Tea Company on the side and the guy knew a good bit of the history of it from the family he got it from, their grandfather actually drove it to deliver goods back in the day. We struck a deal and he delivered it to my house. I'm not sure yet, I still have the 31 slant window cabriolet and can't keep both so one will have to go.

    Nice find.

    I don't think it's a '32 Ford,probably 33 or 34. HRP

I took his word that it was a 32 and didn't think much about it because it's a commercial vehicle and I just ***umed the differences I saw in it were because of that. Will it affect its value much, and what do you guys think it's worth?

Yeah a Deuce would be more desirable and definitely have a higher premium.

The 1932 Ford panel body's were available in a 131 1/2" wheelbase and 157" wheelbase,I think the 33/34's would offer the same sizes.

Take a photo of the firewall.HRP

The 22 louver hood with no notch in the louvers for the "V8" emblem means its a '33. That, and the frame does not look like it has the reveal that the '32s do. Vin# on the frame would tell a story too.

Really great truck, especially with the history! Looks like good bones to start with and it wouldn't bother me a bit that is a '33 rather than '32, both excellent years.

Nice find, if you were happy with the buy it shouldn't matter if it is a '33 and not a '32.

Question for those that know, if you swap out the firewall for a proper '32, and put the body on a '32 ch***is would it p*** as a '32 or are there other body features that need fixing? Bob

With the panels a 33 firewall is welded in place but the spot welds could be drilled out and a 32 will fit in place, replacing the frame with the correct profile of a 32 and it would p***,the dash is different also.

I would just build it as a 33,no sense in spending a bunch of many trying to make it look like a Deuce, with the cost of another frame, firewall, hood & grill shell you would have a whole lot more money in your project before you ever get started. HRP

I believe you would have to move the wheel well up as well to match the shorter 32 wheelbase.

    I thought there was 6" difference? '32 wheelbase 106", and 33-34 112".

    The sedan delivery uses the 106" wheelbase just like the p***enger cars,the panel delivery's have 2 larger wheelbases,131 1/2" & 157"

  29. It wouldn't bother me that it's a '33; it's a cool truck, no matter the year. Build it as it is and be glad for what you have. Seems to me that folks get too hung up on the '32 deal. The 33's and 34's were prettier cars anyway. ;)

    Your truck is a 33. A 32 has quite a few subtle differences from a 33 / 34. I've owned a couple of 32 panels. I actually think the 33 has better proportions than the 32. Build it as it is, a 33 !
