So, I picked up a 33 Ford deluxe sedan that I am in the middle of hot rodding.
I had to pull the steering wheel to paint the tube, and I noticed it was just painted aluminum. I stripped the shitty black paint off of it and sure enough it is.
So, I'm guessing they are all like this, and someone stripped the outer coating and just painted it, or, I have a rare race car unit and it's worth big big bucks...haha
And info would be appreciated. PXL_20250502_190031503.jpg

I think the European steering wheels were aluminum?

I’d be tempted to polish that and spray a clear on it.

Man would an aluminum steering wheel be cold in the winter. Back in the day when people drove those cars year round.

And where I live, untouchable in the peak of summer. I guess driving gloves will be part of the plan.
