    Hi,

I have a 1950 Chevy with straight 6 and powerglide. I also have a Caddy 390 (probably from '59) with tranny and drive shaft. I don't have the money, time or place yet for connecting the two, but hopefully I willI after some time.

I know it will be tight.

I already have a rear axle for open driveline. The handbrake will need to be converted to cable. Firewall braces will need trimming. It also seems that heater and battery tray will need some work. I'm pretty sure I can't use the stock Caddy gear selector. Looks like the stock exhaust manifold could clear the steering box, though.

Have someone done this swap? Any insights?

The Caddy is heavy too. What are the weakest links in the Chevy front suspension and steering?

    Thanks!

I'd check old CAR CRAFT or R&C little pages. That sounds like a swap they would've done back in the day.
