331 extended bell hemi

    could anyone tell me what an extended bell 331 is worth?this one is very complete w/****** included. thanks in advance

    It depends on the condition of the engine. Does it rotate or is it stuck? The extended bell housing is the least desireable of the 331 chrysler engines. To get an ideal what they are going for check out hotheads swap meet www.hothemiheads.com .

    huh... guess that depends on who you talk to... ;)

    there are a ton of adapters for those hemi's... I have a offy to lasalle and a cragar to ford top loader... they're very 'period' hot rod engines and are the same as the short bell- the only draw back is the fact that you might have to look a little harder for an adapter... but I havent had a problem finding them.

    If its a runner I would say $800 and up-

    I tend to stay away from stuck hemis... I've had several stuck and they're a ***** to free up... and cost a mint to rebuild.

    ones got a cragar intake the other an early edmunds with carters-
