331 Hemi Air Raid Sirens

good lord, where are the mythbusters now? Bore through concrete , light stuff on fire , this thing is rad.

 

I think this is why communism will ultimately fail.

They don't have Chrysler Hemi powered air raid sirens!

Is this a great country or WHAT!??!!

A couple of years back, we had to replace a mag on the Merlin in the P-51 and needed a few British Standard nuts in Spokane, WA. Finally found someone that had a Rolls-Royce engine in his shop and he let us scavange the fasteners we needed. He had (a**** many other neat toys) one of these hemi powered sirens in his driveway. At that time he had the air pump rebuilt and was getting ready to start the engine overhaul. I always wanted to see how loud one of these things would be. Bet his neighbors love him...
