A very good friend of mine just bought a 1951 331 c.i Hemi and transmission. Are there any areas of concern we should look for when we tear it down?
The 331 that is, don´t know if the transmission are gonne be used. No idea what it´s gonna go in yet. He always wanted a Hemi and now he got it. The rest will be dealt with later.

Put "Hemi Tech Index" in search & start reading! It's not difficult to get an adaptor & run a manual ******, an A/T is a pain with the 51=3 blocks. Everything you need to know is probably in the Hemi Tech Index. also look for ScooterMcRad's long block build thread.

Where you're in Sweden look for freeze cracks, most likely around the freeze plugs. Beyond that, just pretty much the same as any engine teardown.

Thanks! Been to the Hemi tech pages and it´s more than great. Will take some time to read thru it.
