Hey Guys, I'm trying to get a better grasp of whats going on with this motor. I think I have a pretty good idea, but still kinda confused about a few things; hopefully you guys can help. I've added some pictures with numbers so its clear what i'm talking about.

So there are 8 holes / ports in question:

1 - Gonna run this into a Crossover to connect to #2 and #5 with a thermostat in the crossover. Aiming to have the same setup as B. Bass

    2 - See #1

3 - Return from Heater Core. Not planning to run a heater core; what should I do with this?

4 - This hole is threaded and I took out the fitting that was in there; also no idea what this is

    5 - See #1

6 - Originally a feed for Heater Core. Not running a heater core; what should I do with this?

7- No idea where this coolant is supposed to go to.

8- Threaded hole for Oil Pressure Gauge

Any help is greatly appreciated! I've been learning so much from you guys. Also, I want to get a manual so I don't have to ask these seemingly dumb questions; any good recommendations on a book?

#8 is oil for the oil pressure gauge.
#3 and #6 are for the heater core.
#1 and #2 are usually built into the stock manifold, yours is obviously aftermarket.
#5 would go to the thermostat housing on a stock manifold (thermostat bypass hose)
#4 is just another location for the heater

    Thanks!

I didn't plan on running a heater core; will there be cooling problems if I don't run one? Do you know what guys usually do with all the heater holes (#3, 6, 7?, and 4) if they aren't running one?

Thanks! Appreciate the help. So I'm just gonna plug up 3,4,6, & 7. Simple enough :)
