not using original trans. a gm trans will get bolted on using an adapter so not worried about that really. Just looking for a block that will bolt rite in. And as i found out the 63 is a different animal compare to earlier 390 engine. Still searching seems like ill never find one close ahaha
fwiw you needn't worry about boring the 365 although the difference is stroke not bore. I'm running a 365 stroked with a 390 crank and bored .030. no problems. I'd look for the 365 or 390--the latter having the better heads and oiling system stear clear of the 63 model. not bad motors per se, but no real speed parts available.
