I’ve just bought a 49 Lincoln with a 337 flathead. I knew it had alloy finned head and twin carbs but when I collected it I’ve found the intake to be a Nicson eng of La. I’ve seen some info on them but never a 337 intake.

    Can anyone shed any light

Very few made speed parts for these big Lincoln/Truck motors. Even when new, you don't see many catalogs carrying speed parts for the 337's. Edlebrock, Edmunds and Nicson offered parts for these engines. From what I gather, any speed parts for these are rare to find today, but Nicson would be the rarest of the bunch. Great score.

Had one back in the '70s. Marking cast in rear "F-7" ... Also had a pair of script Edelbrock heads. Sold it all for $650 to a fella in NC for his '50 F-7 dump, one family owned.

Ken Austin of Oregon made speed Equip for those a Three Carb and cyl Heads. Was a old Hot Rodder. Sold Patterns to H and H Flathead. Nicson also made a 2 Carb in 1956 for the new 265 Chev V8

Those Edelbrock heads are very scarce as well. How does it run?

I've got a 1956 Nicson catalog, and they made some pretty offbeat stuff, like cast iron dual headers for some IHC sixes.
