HI, thanks for all your great comments regarding my 34...it was great to get the Bruce Meyer seal of approval which made our weekend!!.. it is just a thought if this car was offered for sale in the USA do you think there would be any interest?? much It has Steel body, Blown HandH Flathead, T5, Quickchange,KINMONTS,LaSalle grill, EJ,s..etc etc.. Bruce Meyer thought that it would generate some interest..pm me for further info...
I'm sure there would be interest in the car, but given the parts that it has (high $$$!), finding a buyer may prove to be difficult.
It isn't worth keeping. Probably not even worth the gas to take it to the crusher. I'll pick it up and properly dispose of it for you.
I doubt anyone here would be interested, as I don't see any rust on it, but it sure does look killer to me.Great grill idea.
Thanks for the kind replies, here are a few more photos , as you can see a body off shot and a bare metal shot. The wheels were made for me by vintiuque and are lip lace wires..Yes there are certainly a few "collectable" parts on there but as an investment in they are certainly worth it ,can you see this sitting on the saltflats!!!.. but I might be persuaded with a part trade for a 32 sedan or 5window.. you never know?? pm me..cheers..Les
Beautiful hot rod! I'm sure if you were reasonable in your asking price you would have no trouble selling it in the US of A! I think I'd sell a kidney to get to go to Goodwood...
you do need to go...and it's worth every penny.....it was even worth the 5 and 3/4 hours to drive 113 miles back to SurfMonkeys house to get my car after the show.. and Les..your 34 is just stunning....there are not many cars I would swap my A for (the ex Gary Mc 28 A roadster) but yours is one of them.... it would sell easy in the US and get a shit load more than you would in the UK...there isn't really any other Rod that has that level of "collectable" parts on over here and few people who really know exactly what you have there
I to would like to hear (read) the answer to that question. As for me the answer would be the famous firearms answer, "They will get my '34 3w when they pry my dead cold hands off the steering wheel". If you know me you'll be surprised at this statement. I would sell my '32's if that could be parked in the garage. and moreover I would be contented for it to be the only hot rod I owned until it was time for the dirt nap. Frank
