Just bought a couple of really nice '34 dipped bumpers and wanted to use one on the front of my '40 Ford pickup project. Would I be able to just use the '34 brackets, or would I need to use a '35 inner bracket and fabricate an outer to fit? The inner bolt pattern is the same as the '35 at 26 inches. Didn't know if the outers were the same bolt placement. This whole truck is a semi-custom with minor detail changes to the lights and other small details. No major fabrication expected. Thanks, Flattop Merry Christmas to all!
I would try to find '49 plymouth's or desoto's or something in that theme. I'm not sure you'll like the '34' on there once you see it.
I agree 'bout early parts on later models,, but I have seen a dipped bumper on 40 ford PU, and I was surprised how quickly I gave it a p***... Like some cars, I just don't like , till I see one with the stance, wheel and tired they way I like, then I suddenly have a change of at***ude.
