    Hey guys been on the site for a few years but never posted anything so I hope it’s right. But I can find much info on this Chevy. I’m mainly a ford guy but love this car and thinking about buying it. The owner said it’s one of 45 cause it’s a master deluxe but the door doesn’t look longer to me. I see the front door gap to cowl doesn’t line up with the running board fender seam though like a master deluxe but is it just longer in the back? I’m sure this is a easy one for you Chevy guys. Maybe a thought on a far price too. Thanks!

    Those are Master rear fenders. Wheel base should be around 112 inches. Most Masters had the knee action front suspension. Hope this helps.

    The Sedan Delivery was a Standard, not a Master, eh?

    And the fenders look to have been replaced.

    Price....who knows? How's the wood?

    If it has a glove box it's a master. If there is stainless trim on the hood side panels it a Master. On sedan deliveries the door used were from a 4 door sedan.

    Close .... ''60 Years Of Chevrolet" shows Master production at 4,688, Standard 538.
    All '34 Masters are knee action equipped; starting in '35 the Master DeLuxe could be ordered w/o it for $20 less.

    Well, there's only one exactly like this one and this is it. When they get this age, they are all one of a kind. I guess you can say that about any of them regardless of production numbers. The whole one of 45 sounds like a sales pitch. It's a neat old truck but it's not made of gold.
    To me what makes this truck is how it is right now. I do not like them pickled in clear nor do I like it when they wiped 'em down with a can of oil/grease/goo.....It is what it is.

    I would grease it, reinforce the wood if need be, make it go and make it stop. Pretty much like it is. I would keep it in the dry. To me that's the appeal for a truck like this.....

    Full on resto/hot rod build.....no not right now.
    I would enjoy it like it is. A new seat. A good running stove bolt, No worries of it going to pieces, A clear windshield, tight steering, the ability to stop and a dry place to keep it, a new top insert eventually....I would roll with it.

    You asked for pricing...that's subjective.....
    8K and down (if it is solid as it appears and the drivers is comparable to the p***enger side)

  7. 1934 chevrolet master sedan delivery.
    Chrome headlights , chrome spears on hood , holes along running board and fender for chrome although missing on this one . Will have a knee action front end .
    Is a rare vehicle although not 1 of 45 rare .
    All the front sheetmetal , hood, grill ,fenders running boards , rear fenders will interchange from a 34 master car . My buddy just finished doing one of these sedan deliveries, nice vehicle .The whole body is built on a 34 car platform ,frame and all from factory .

    The SD body might be the only original part - the hood - fenders along with the running board looks like thier from another vehicle.....just my 1 sense....

    Here's Canadian production numbers, LHD & RHD. Check the body style on cowl plate if it still exists.

    1934 Chevy Master Grille shell - 36 1/4" long 23 1/2" wide
    1934-35 Chevy standard grill shell - 35" long 23 1/2" wide

    There are few HAMB threads on identifying the differences between Standard and Master. Commercial production figures aren't that high by comparison to other models.
    Easiest way for me is:-
    • Dashboard, instruments in centre for Standards with instruments in front of driver and glovebox for Master;
    • Firewall recess in Standard is shallow and deeper on a Master;
    • Masters featured knee action front suspension;
    • Frames are different; and
    • Rear fender on Master has more crown than Standard.

    Hopefully it has paperwork/ownership...it helps in many locales...that's a really cool Model and a really good looking year for the Ole Bowtie...good luck on wheeling and dealing...;)
