The taillights are under the car because i dont want tail lights, but i want to drive it to work on occasion. They are slightly visible from behind.

Great build & love the car, but…. Understand hating look of tail lights but got to build for the nitwit on the phone or tuning his radio following you to close. Lost a friend when rear ending by a truck in traffic at about 5 mph, broke his neck. Look good but be safe

I live in a very small town, and i work
Literally right down the street from my house. My local drag strip is even closer to home than that. The tail lights are barely visable from behind, and they will reflect quite well in the evening. I plan to drive this car to and from work, and the drag strip only.

  4. Jim are you sure there is not a place for you at NASA, or at least Ford?

I am kinda surprised that my curveball, weird build has been met with such positive response. This is what I love about the hamb.

Those nitwits that are on their phones and fumbling with their center consoles that control everything in these newer cars wouldn't be able to see taillights and third brake lights if they were even the size of stop signs it seems. Guy rearended my buddies semi stopped at a redlight(third in line). Excuse was trying to figure out how the center console worked so he could turn something on and never noticed everyone in front of him sitting at the intersection.

Jim, I really like this car, actually I tend to like almost every car you turn out. They each got their own flair or personality to them.

  8. I am driven, and drawn by shapes. Hard chopped 33/34 fords are a great shape, I’m not sure if it will ever be in the cards for me, but I like em. The harvester hood, pointed nose and fact that it is made out of available components - you called it junk, not me- are part of the fascination. The engineering - a sliding ****pit roof for cripes sake- just takes it over the top. Lots to like here.

Not much to look at, but I am very excited with my Christmas weekend progress. I got my transmission cooler lines, fuel lines and fuel pump ran. Now i just need to plumb the brakes and wire the car, then it off for the first test flight. 5DE47D1A-53BE-4B68-BB6D-92419200F535.jpeg 50F87130-87CE-41AF-A333-403373A5A99B.jpeg

...Jim, the pic you posted way back in the post above made me think of the Robert Williams artwork with the flying Coupe but I thought I would pacify the theme and just have you and your son just out in the wild yonder warming the pavement...Hope you like it...your inspiration inspired me...your creativity is a cut above...

    Hope all is well...Regards Stogy...;)

Jim, would you even know what to do with a perfectly straight and solid rust free body? Probably be done with the build in a day and a half. Or cut it up into little pieces and start over.
