I've had a decklid on the car that I made on a wooden buck. It will never be paint friendly so I managed to find two lids at the nats swap meet...one good outer skin and one good inner skin. Mated the two together. Now building brackets to bolt to body for the hinges to mount to. The car was of course a rumble seat car originally.
Here's a current pic. I have an offer on the car, not sure we'll get together yet, holding my breath. I thought I wanted a 3 winder until I saw this sedan at the nats swapmeet. Now I'm undecided.
I'd have a hard time seeing that sectioned cabriolet go away. If I could afford it, I'd take it a bit into the darker side of 50s features that I like a lot. The old time sectioning is what attracts me, and I like cabriolets the best I think. ,
Tim, nice meeting you at Louisville. Hope your successful in the sale of the Cabriolet. The 33 Sedan looked good , and Jim did a nice job on the build.
Bringing up an old thread..I know you have sold the cabrio but I saw this picture in the homogenized hotrods thread and it reminded me of your car when you first got it
