The door hinge bolts are 5/16ths, the countersunk head appears to be about what a 1/4" bolt would have, maybe a phillips? I need a dozen of them, any suggestions? even an idea how to make them (b/c of an existing phillips or allen pattern in a 5/16ths I can't machine the head down, maybe just a simple slot?). The hinges are original and I don't want to machine them for a larger countersink. Any ideas? Thanks, Oj
These? Just used your ***le as a search... https://thirdgenauto.com/product/1928-34-ford-35-37-pickup-truck-new-door-hinge-bolts-6/
Now, that one might work, I have countersunk allen heads but the allen socket is larger and if I cut the head down there wouldn't be enough meat left to tighten the screw, I'll go looking for them, thanks.
Those are similar, but much too short, the '34 has a thick wood doorjam the bolts has to p*** thru to reach the threaded inserts. They do give me an idea of how the head is shaped and I'm curious about those finish washers too, thanks for finding and posting them, Oj
Same place has them on ebag. There are other pics of them from the site but the link is broken. I'd give them a call. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1932-34-Fo...-to-pillar-screws-18pcs-R-94-06-/352983406907
The 3 windows with the wood door pillars take the long ones, 5 window & sedans take the short ones, and floor pans. https://cwmoss.com/products/door-hinge-screws-and-washers-1932-36
@Johnboy34 , That's a company that I've heard of for years too. Another example of the ad revenue driven search results. Well known established business isn't at the top of the results...
And, there they are! Kudos to you! I had searched CW Moss and got frustrated with their website, they are perfect, thank you!
