I replaced my original 34 Gord crank hole cover with an aftermarket version with no hole…a smoothie , if you will. Now my hood sits ok atop the radiator but it seems as though it’s too high in the front - 5-8 or so each side measured at the front lower hood sides..the radiator is sitting flush on its tabs on the crossmember but I can’t seem to get it any lower…any suggestions????Thanx..Dan
If you have a reproduction shell, you may have to remove the mounting brackets and move them up to get the hood to fit.
4 piece hoods on 1932-1934 are a PITA to get them fitting properly, in my opinion I dought they fit right when they left the Ford plant. I helped my friend Will align his '34 hood and we worked on it for several hours, Jack the left up in the front and removed the half of the left front body mount to get the body line even and then the right side was off, we ended up t******* the original hood to get it to fit, it to two days of taking it on and off and using up 3 years worth of curses words. My '32 hood was a ***** but not as bad as the '34, Now I know why a lot of guys just don't run a hood. HRP
