Thanks, Im not sure what color the truck will be yet, probably some sort of primer or quick paint job, it probably wont be too nice of a paint job for now, just something to get it all one color, Im kind of leaning towards grey primer with white outline flames maybe

Thanks, Im going to drive it down to the shop on a shakedown run here in the next month or two

Dig it. I'd love to snag a '34 pickup and make it my daily.

its a blend of the best smells in the world when you first get a new engine running right, alittle oil, fresh gas, alittle rich exhaust, alittle paint baking on smoking, and alittle oil you might have spillled on a exhaust pipe burning off...its great, I love it.......your always alittle nervous too, I always get alittle shaky with adrenaline...nothin quite like it.

I had a good laugh when you said retired Iron worker. I will probably be in the same position some day as I am a Iron worker also (semi retired) and may never finish my projects as well. I do keep plugging away at them,
but life definitely gets in the way! I realy like your truck. MickeyC

Hey Steven, just read this whole thread. Great little hauler you've got going here. Now I know what you did with that small fortune I paid you for the T touring body:eek::rolleyes::D. Couldn't have put it to better use. You're making me really regret selling the '34 PU I held onto for 25 years and could never get motivated to start the build. Your going to have a blast with with this one as a daily driver. Be sure to keep us updated until you get it "finished" to whatever state your going to take it.

  28. Stephen,Good to see you finally got to go for that first ride in the truck!

I remember my first ride in mine and it would have taken a side grinder to get the grin off my face and I'm bettin' you are the same way!
