Projects 34 Ford Roadster - (different) engine question

It is amazing how quickly your world shrinks and your list of options shortens when you fracture your femur. Rising to the top of the "running out of things to do" list is the, start a build thread on the 34, task. Plus, there is no longer an "engine question". So I will attempt to move all the relevant pictures to a new thread.
Before leaving this one I would like to thank each and every one of you who shared your experience and offered opinions, guidance, counsel, and support. The list is long, and you know who you are; but I would like to acknowledge two individuals: Cyclone Kevin - for telling me about Vern. That has turned out to be the best choice for me and the car - thank you. And, Flynbrian48 - who wrote, "You've got guys giving you pointers who own some of the nicest '34's in the country, so PAY ATTENTION!!" It does not come any finer said or succinct and to the point than that. Thank you for caring enough to reach out through the forum and smack me right where I needed it.

With that said, and before I suc***b to the power of my pain meds - I will attempt to create a new thread.
