    Hello All
My 3 window is a glass car, and have fit up a Speedway window frame. It fits the body decent, and Im happy with that. It came with the rubber seal with the frame. With the rubber installed, it makes the frame stick out to far. Another thing I dont like is the rubber sticks out well past the frame.
I have yet to purchase the hinges, so this frame may not be swinging on hinges on this car.

Now I really dont care if I have to glue this frame in. The window was glued in with that black tar with this black plastic
moulding, and looked bad, very bad.

    So, a few questions
    1. should I search for a better quality rubber?
    2. Just have a glass shop glue it in , and forget about the rubber
    seal?
3.The frame has 6 holes at the top for hinges, and the 2 holes at the bottom for the regulator . I was thinking if I used those 8 holes, that I could just bolt the frame to the car.
    Thoughts on this?

    Thanks guys

  3. I couldn't use a rubber W/S seal on my '34 Plymouth because the frame was modified. So I made brackets to bolt the frame in solid and used butyl rubber to fill the gaps between the body and frame. It's not on the road yet, but I think it's going to work.
Does your glass body have any structure to attach it to?

  4. As far as the rubber sticking out passed the frame, you can cut it off with a razor. I just recently put the correct, compound angle, hinges on my Coupe. It should swing out, not pivot, so it clears the body. You can always go to a hardware store and get a thinner seal. I wouldn't mount it in solid, unless you have a cowl vent. That air makes all the difference in the world to be comfortable. Try your best to make it swing open.

The job you have done on your car looks real good. Yes my glass body would be easy to mount the frame to , just drill the holes for the screws.
    Thanks for your reply
