Close to original as possible ? That is a no brainier right ? Steel If your car is channeled the high buck steel reproduction pieces need to be altered to fit. Now you can section them, lop off the bottom. Or make new ones that fit your channeled hot rod.
Well I've heard that the steel ones (A) didn't fit correctly. And the speedway ones (C) just don't look right. I was leaning toward (B). Those are wesott glass reproductions. I'm building a glass car so glass doesn't bother me. If I could find originals cheap I'd go with them. Sorry guys running on a shoestring budget here.
Hey Big Jim, I have a set of "B" Wescott left over from a project. I believe Wescott get's 140 a piece for them, make me an offer on em and they could be yours. Contact me @ 580-786-2005 if interested
If you channel the car 6" at the cowl you won't need them. The stock hood sides roll up around the frame and tuck inside the rails at the grill shell.
Thanks guys. I was looking at the wescotts on evilbay and the guy accepted my offer so it looks like its B. Thanks for the input and offer.
