Here's the latest project. A 34' Tudor with a 241" Dodge Hemi with a T-5 ******. 36' banjo with a Spadaro/Winters qiuickie going in it. Model A rear cross member and I flattened out the stock 34' front crossmember.
Kirk looks great! Early hemi, 5 speed, banjo in the rear looks like you got another great build going!
Is this the project you were hauling through MN when your truck broke down last summer? Looks great, I love the Red Rams...
This project is from Tennessee, pretty rough for the area but nonexistent in Michigan. SaltFlat Matt, you'll be getting a call shortly for a set of lake pipes, they rule. -Kirk
That is a nice project. I've always like 34s..Your choice of engine is the best, 241 Dodge Red Ram Hemi, excellent.. I put a 241 in my 1935 tudor. Here is a picture of a intake that would look great on top of the 241.. Duane
I've got the ch***is at a steerable roller stage. Last weekend I blew it all apart and had everything sandblasted and am going with gloss black paint. Like anything else I do, why can't I just keep it simple and spray bomb it? Yeah, that would be too easy. -Kirk
Great looking project Kirk. Are you going to finish this one before the roadster you just bought? OPPS, did I let the cat out of the bag? Sorry, I couldn't resist after seeing you bought a body in the cl***ifieds. Either way be sure to keep us posted on the progress on this one. Frank
The seller decided not to sell?? I do have a 28' Brookville rpu that's on hold while I'm on this trainwreck...lol.
these threads are inspiring and the speed that you guys are putting them together makes me jealous. lol. thats gona be a cool ride.
Here are more current pics. Progress is alot slower than anticipated. I'm building a subframe and ****** cover prior to painting the frame and ch***is compnents. I also built a rotissoire for painting the frame. The quickie is just mocked up at the moment. I utilized the stock 241" hemi motormount by adding 2" to each leg and setting in the stock flathead location. I also flattened the stock 34' crossmember to get the frame lower. -Kirk
I appreciate all the positive responses and encouragement. I got the body & bare frame out of Nashville, TN. It was from a newby hamber and a great guy to deal with.
Looks killer Kirk! If you have plans on having it ready for Billetproof and want to have a garage thrash let me know. I'm sure I could even talk Andria into whipping up something.....maybe even cookies.
BilletProof is only 8 weeks away so Jdubbya and I have something else in mind. Here's a couple pics of the adjustable pedal ***embly I made. I'm not 100 percent sure of the ergonomics just yet so it'll help me tailor it as well as making it comfortable for taller drivers.
Nice work as always Kirk, well if not at Billetproof, maybe AutoRama Extreme next year for sure. And the rear end does make a nice center piece
Nice combination of parts. Will you attach something to the engine to resist the torque? The 55-57 T-Bird uses a similar engine mount arrangement, but has torque rods each side of the motor. Mart.
I seriously took into consideration putting mounts on the bellhousing. Then I thought that the motor came out of a truck that was at least twice the weight before adding or pulling a load, and a stick to boot. In addition, the rubber cushion of the mount used to be directly under the center of the waterpump where the motormount attaches. I now replaced the mount with a solid piece of metal and have stock flathead motormount pucks which mount in the stock flathead location giving yet more torsional ridgidity. -Kirk
Kirk, internationally known Hot Rod Sculptor, is trying to outdo himself again. This thing is way cooler in person. Now, about the bodywork that needs to get done.....
Here's a fe current pics of my project. I hae the ch***is in paint and made the ****** hump into the subframe I made.
