How much should I be looking at to rebuild a 341 lincoln y block engine?

Probably a lot. I would ask this question over on the Yblocksforever.com site. A lot of knowledgeable guys over there.

    What price cool?

It'll be worth it, but '57 is right. Won't be SBC cheap.

We need alot more information to give you an accurate estimate. With the info you provided, anywhere from $4,000 to $40,000 depending on the starting condition, what parts you want to run, machine time needs, etc.

The Deluxe rebuild kit from Kanter (everything including pistons, gaskets, valves, seals, rings, bearings, etc) is $2350.

Add another $12 to $15 per hole to bore, $50 to $75 to align hone, $150 to $250 to machine / polish the crank and $250 to $1000 for head work depending on amount of porting and machine work needed to be done. Plus costs for decking or sleeving if needed.

Then you need to start pricing out other speed parts you may want to run such as replacement intakes, exhaust manifolds or headers, valve covers, carbs, distributor, ignition module, flywheel, con rods, plugs and wires, etc.

    It can add up quick.

    Good Luck.
