    If it is any consolation I am blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. ;)

    If you find one check it really close for cracks. I have looked at three in the last couple years and two out of three were cracked, the other one had a hole in the block!
    P.S. I would like to have a cheap 348-409 valve cover to hang on the garage wall

    That trick was written up in a popular mag many years ago when factory dual points were common. . The result was slightly less timing when in 4th gear, by switching the points, to help prevent detonation.

    Well, Thanks for the responses. I learned a lot about the w motor.. cost wise.I'll keep looking, and hoping.
