Need help a friend has a 348 Chevy and we would like to do something with it Will any small or big block parts interchange, timing chain, bearings ect?

I am pretty sure that big blocks have the same bore spacing that that you can use a big block crank with minor mods.
A little machining of the big Chevy crank shaft. Big and little Chevy oil pumps. Transmissions (flywheels). Bout it from the other engines. Mike
@saltflats is pretty well versed on W motors. He may have some insight. One of the 409 intakes works with the 348. But I don't remember which one and I am not sure that the ports are a perfect match. I think that the distributor is W motor specific, but you may find a BBC distributer with a slip collar and make it work. No reason to do that but maybe it'll work. My original Hurst mount came to fit wither a 348 or a small block. But finding another original Hurst mount would be like finding a mystery motor.LOL
