I've done some searching here and the ford barn and keep reading conflicting answers. Is the waterfall on a 35/36 ford closed car dash stainless or was it chrome? I have been looking at a few and I am trying to determine if I will need factoring in the cost to re-chrome one or if it's stainless and it's just a polish job.

    Thanks in advance!

I believe they are chrome plated steel, but a test with a magnet will tell you for sure. Stainless steel (300 series) is not attracted to a magnet.

    Thanks everybody!

Is the re-chroming process the same for br*** as it is steel? Any guesses what it might cost?
