Yea I had shared this before but since yu asked -- This is my 35 Coupe - the before - it's in the process of a complete build - It will be completely redone all black stock - except for a 2" drop, Scot Blown/Harman Collins lit full race 48 59AB, 39 trans, 39 steering box, 40 sway bar, 2speed Columbia rear, Kelsey Hayes bent spokes with big/littles and louvered hood tops. Brakes will be stock with floaters.

You asked about brakes - I know some of you will think I'm nuts but I am staying with mechanical brakes - when mechanicals are set up and maintained they are really good. I have mechanicals on my 35 5 window too and they are excellent - no complaints what so ever - I have juice brakes on my 39 and they are good too - see no need to change to juice on the 3 window for me.

Josh Mills from Mills & Co. in Marietta GA. has just finished what I think to be the nicest 35 in the Southeast. I'll try and find some pictures of it. I saw it Saturday at the swap meet , I didn't think I'd need my camera at a swap meet so I didn't get any pictures.

I would have to agree, in my opinion you would have to look hard to find a nicer one anywhere right now. I might be a little biased though, I think I have just shy of a million hours in the paint and body work on it.:D

has anyone lowered their 35 stock headlights with little to no major modification.like closer to the fender or so. it look like you could shorten the stand on the fender or recess the ball socket in the the headlamp whatcha all think?

You can recess the socket up in the bucket. You have to increase the size of the hole in the bottom of the bucket first. Get some longer screws and make spacers out of tubing (I brought mine down over 1 inch) and reattach the bucket to the stand. I did mine about 10 years ago. I think it was an article in American Rodder that showed how to do it. It is simple and can be easily reversed if you change your mind.

Which reminds me... Can anybody help with the correct parts stack-up of my cowl vent latch?

I don't have any pics of doing it and they aren't back on the car yet, but I shortened the stands on my '35. Simply sliced 1 inch down from the top of the stand and rewelded the top pad on. Had to slice each corner to bring the sides in a bit. Worked great with less welding than doing the bucket pocket.
