I like the '40 taillights. I remember a black '35 tub from 50+ years ago that used them; I thought it was a good look then and it looks good now.

Thanks. Not quite two years, but I had a lot of help from some of my students that wanted to see it get done. It was originally going to be a patina'd driver and two of my students wanted to give 'er hell. From there it got a little carried away and here it is today.

Thanks. That black tub was the inspiration!

Had the pinstriping redone on my 35 recently.

Heres a before pic, pinstriping was 80's style.
I flipped this photo so it was sitting the same as the recent pic ...that's why the license plate in on the wrong side

Very nice Bob. I see you tucked in the bumper. Is that a PU bumper?

Hi Searcher, very nice tudor. I like the pinstriping on the rear, almost looks like a v8 symbol. By the way what engine are you running, any pics.

It has a 283 and a powerglide, both out of a 66 Chevell.
It's stock bore w Forged TRW pistons and Edelbrock cam and carb... it runs good and not too bad on gas.

    not the best pic.

The hood is not hinged. It is held in place with four bolts to the radiator stays which run down each side. When I looked at how everyone else hinged them, they all had cut into the cowl to accomodate the hinges. Since I had finished the bodywork at that stage I decided to just bolt it on. Takes but a minute to remove with an allen key.

To solve your torque tube leaking at the trans problems go to:

    hotrodjohn@windstream.net

he has a clever seal to solve the problem and it's dirt cheap

I see what you mean... He did ( Jim Moser ) a little on the headlight buckets too, and called it done.

In this pic you can see the flathead in the 36. Has had a lot of work done internally, runs good. You can also see the brackets that the hood fixes to.

Haha...BINGO! Heather has a natural photographic eye and can instantly paint a well-composed picture through photographs. I got her the camera for her birthday last year and it's gotten a lot of use! Here's a link to her Flickr...I consider myself a pretty artsy guy and even I'm impressed with her stuff...

jamesville, that's seriously the best looking '36 around. Keep the stance, it's spot on. Also I am glad you're going with the 283 man, there's nothing like fathead until you want some actual omfff!! when you mash the throttle, then you'll be happy you made the swap. It's going to be awesome!!!!
