i did'nt buy a kit, i made all the brackets. how far apart are the wishbones gennerally split to clear a th350 oil pan? i cut mine 1/4 inch behind the weld seam if that matters...

Nate, if you're not looking to mount them the width of the frame rails, you want them as close together as possible.

I'd mock up the engine and transmission, then make mounts for the wishbones off of the transmission crossmember.

You can always make the wishbones longer if you need to with some round tubing and a slug welded inside.

I just completed the chassis on my 40 delivery using a P&J kit. The photos show the place to mount the wishbones 12" apart on the x member. You will need to trim the x member for the 350 trans to clear. I hope this helps.

perfect! thanks! is it 12" on center or inside of wishbone?

my trans fits with the intake leveled without needing to trim the x member, unless the cut is to drop the trans easier but looks like mine sits in the same location as yours front to back....
