I haven't had time lately to work on the car. I have been working after hours helping a local powder coater out. I did end up taking the car to the car show again this year, since we ended up with a larger booth than we anticipated. We also took the 3-window that I have been working on at work. Please for anyone who knows the couple who owns the duece DO NOT POST THEIR NAMES they wish to remain private but gave me permission to post the car.

I was given a steering wheel over the weekend and I am really considering putting it in the car, but cant make up my mind. To me it gives it more of a custom look than the banjo does. Let me know what you guys think

    The wheel is beautiful!
I was under the impression that you was heading in a direction that the banjo wheel would be a better fit.

Love the car and it's direction!

The `32 3 window that Kellan has been working on was a real POS. Top was CHOPED off years ago when they made a hunting jalopy out of it. Top was still laying close by when they found the car setting in the pasture. Kellan deserves a pat on the back for bringing it back to the condition it is now.

This morning I got the front crossmember welded in and I started to smooth the axle[IMG]

  9. I saw the "Badlands Deuce" pics "before" and Kellan has worked wonders on it. Great save Kellan! The story of the pursuit of this old coupe for 25 years is pretty cool too!

I have had a vintage column flashlight mount for some time now and finally found the flashlight I want to use. I had to make some rollers to hold it in since the originals were missing.

You have done an outstanding job on this 3w beauty!I love Banjo steering wheels but I'd go with the Merc! It's a real piece of class! Keep up the good work when you feel like it.Sometimes a break is needed to revive the fervor!! Remember that you are building this for enjoyment, not a deadline !Keep on keeping on.

I made the decision that I would be better off making an all new inner trunk skin. The original was pretty thin and by the time I would have made all the patches and welded them in I could just as well make a new one. I started with the upper lip. I made 2 L-shaped pieces and shrunk them to the right curve. I then welded them together and drilled mounting holes to the hinges. I then welded the original hinge plates to the lip.

You mean like this little 471 I bought for it today? A local guru was in the shop the other day and mentioned he had a Flathead intake that accepted a 471 that he wanted to get rid of. I jumped on that right away and I also talked him into helping me put together a good running flathead since im not much of an engine guy. So the search for a blower began. I ended up finding this 471 from a local here in town. It is a GMC case and internals with some Cragar goodies on it. The intake will show up thursday or friday this week.
