Technical 35 hubs/drums on 48 banjo rearend

    Hi, I have to change my hubs and drums on my 48 banjo rearend, I have a good 35 banjo, which is 5/5.5. could I use de 35 hubs/drums set on the 48?

    Do you use old Ford wire wheels? The 35 hubs/drums have the support nubs to fit the wire wheels.

    No, I use regular Ford 40’s 16” wheels. Will the 35 drums Work with the regular wheels? And with the 48 brakes?

    35 hubs will work for later wheels if you grind down the 5 little bumps near the studs

    Around here, guys search out the 35 drums so they CAN use the wire wheels with no special support rings. But I suppose in Spain it would be hard to find any good drums so you use what you have.

    Exactly as you Said, not easy to find drums here, that’s why I want to use the 35 I already have, but wanted to know if they will fit correctly
