I,ve got a set of 35 Ford wire wheels I'm putting on my new project. I know that there is a problem installing them on later Ford drums. Rod and Custom, about a month ago, showed some spacer/adapters to deal with the problems connected with this application. Anyone out there know of these adapters or have another solution? Thanks

  2. Yes, you need a little spacer ring. I had mine made from 4" pipe, about 3/16"
thick. That's the spacer thickness, not the pipe wall. I think the measurement is .0190. Then you can tack weld or glue these to the back of your rim. '35 Ford wheels were only meant to go on '35 drums. I have an article on it. I'll see if I can dig it up.
