    Truck or suburban vortecs had inconel exhaust valves and the hardened seats. Plenty of info on the net for the desirable casting numbers.
    Screw in studs and guide plates then machine for .531 Viton seals.
    Makes good power up to 5k they have good numbers up to 400 lift then go flat.
    Best bang for your buck.
    Edelbrock makes a air gap rpm,75 Bucks used when you find them.

    Located in Vancouver Wa. Yes steel shims. Will do exactly that, take to machine shop and if they have heads I will go that route. Would love vortec but will still be happy with higher compression stock ones.

    Half a gallon of gas in the carb and a match should do it, might smoke a little tho`.:rolleyes:
