350 TBI convert to Carb and Intake

    I did it to my 1990 K1500 when the tired old 212k 305 went lame. I put in a 1993 350 I had saved from a crashed truck. Pulled the intake and distributor and went carb and vacuum HEI. When you switch the distributer to a vacuum advance distributor just run 12V to the coil. once it has a carb and a distributor you will not need any of the wires for the tbi or computer stuff. check your 88 block for where the manual fuel pump mounts, you may not be able to mount one and will have to go electric fuel pump to carb. I used one of those small Holley 4 - 7 psi electric pumps made for carbs , its been working fine for almost 2 years now on a daily driver.

    as mentioned above I also hogged out the middle holes on an old edelbrock aluminum 4 barrel intake and bolted it right onto the 1993 block.

    Forgot to mention I even changed the heads last winter to older 1970 era heads and used the same intake I had cut out the center holes on and still no problems works fine no leaks
